Setting Up TradingView

How to add AlgoAlpha indicators to your TradingView charts.

After your AlgoAlpha subscription is active and your TradingView username has been linked, follow these steps to add the indicators to your charts.

Prerequisites

  • An active AlgoAlpha subscription
  • Your TradingView username submitted to AlgoAlpha (see Get Access)
  • A TradingView account (free or paid)

TradingView's free plan limits you to a small number of indicators per chart. A paid TradingView plan (Plus, Premium, or higher) allows more indicators simultaneously.

Adding an Indicator to Your Chart

  1. Open TradingView and load any chart

TradingView chart setup for AlgoAlpha indicators

  1. Click the Indicators button in the top toolbar (or press /)
  2. In the indicator search dialog, select the Invite-only scripts tab on the left
  3. You should see the AlgoAlpha indicators you have access to (e.g., Smart Signals Assistant, ILPAC, etc.)
  4. Click on the indicator name to add it to your chart

The indicator will appear on your chart with its default settings. You can customize it by clicking the gear icon on the indicator label.

For the best experience with AlgoAlpha indicators:

  • Chart type: Use candlestick or bar charts (indicators are optimized for OHLC data)
  • Timeframe: Start with the 1-hour or 4-hour timeframe for swing trading, or 5-minute/15-minute for scalping
  • Symbol: AlgoAlpha indicators work on any asset — crypto, stocks, forex, commodities, and indices

Managing Indicator Settings

Each indicator has customizable settings accessible through the gear icon. Common adjustments include:

  • Sensitivity — How frequently signals are generated
  • Visual components — Toggle individual overlays and signal types on or off
  • Color scheme — Match the indicator colors to your chart theme
  • Alert conditions — Configure which events trigger TradingView alerts

Refer to the individual indicator documentation for a full settings breakdown.

Saving Your Layout

After configuring your indicators:

  1. Click Layout in the top-right of TradingView
  2. Select Save or Save As to preserve your setup
  3. Name your layout (e.g., "AlgoAlpha Swing Setup")

This ensures your indicator configuration persists across sessions.
